COPILOT ON THE CALL

Interview hints in Microsoft Teams

Teams is the corporate default: banks, retail and large IT companies run interviews through it. The copilot works here too — system audio in, an overlay over the window, and nothing visible when you share your screen.

If the call is on a company laptop, check the software policy before installing anything.

How it looks during the call

The copilot is a separate window on your machine. It doesn't plug into the meeting client and never joins the call as a participant.

01

Open it before the call

The app is installed and signed in. You open it ahead of the call, the way you'd open notes.

02

It hears the interviewer

Audio is captured system-wide on your device. The meeting client knows nothing about it: no bot in the participant list, no plugin, no platform API access.

03

You press the hotkey

An answer to the last question appears in an overlay above the call window — a couple of seconds, structured text.

04

Share your screen calmly

The copilot window is excluded from the shared stream: the other side sees your desktop, or whichever app you're presenting.

What matters in Teams

Teams shows up inside corporate environments more than any other client — so most of its constraints have nothing to do with the copilot itself.

A managed device may block the install

On an employer-issued laptop, installing third-party software and reaching system audio are often restricted by policy. That's the device's limit rather than the copilot's: from a personal machine everything works as usual.

Recordings and transcripts

Teams interviews are often recorded and transcribed. The recording holds what participants heard: your answers yes, the hints no — they never leave your screen.

Guest access by link

Candidates are usually invited with an external link, without an account in the corporate tenant. That changes nothing for the copilot: it doesn't sign into Teams or interact with the meeting.

App, browser or web version

How Teams is opened only decides where the meeting is displayed. Audio still travels through the system, and the overlay is drawn above the active window.

Works with every video-call client

JobPath is a standalone window that doesn't depend on the call platform. Tested with 16+ popular clients, works with any windowed video call.
