COPILOT ON THE CALL

Interview hints in Google Meet

Meet lives in the browser, and that changes nothing: the copilot is a separate desktop window, not an extension or a tab. Sharing a tab, a window or the whole screen sends only that source — the overlay isn't part of it.

No browser extension needed: the copilot runs system-wide, outside the Meet tab.

Interviewing somewhere else?

How it looks during the call

The copilot is a separate window on your machine. It doesn't plug into the meeting client and never joins the call as a participant.

01

Open it before the call

The app is installed and signed in. You open it ahead of the call, the way you'd open notes.

02

It hears the interviewer

Audio is captured system-wide on your device. The meeting client knows nothing about it: no bot in the participant list, no plugin, no platform API access.

03

You press the hotkey

An answer to the last question appears in an overlay above the call window — a couple of seconds, structured text.

04

Share your screen calmly

The copilot window is excluded from the shared stream: the other side sees your desktop, or whichever app you're presenting.

What matters in Meet

Meet is the one popular client people open as a tab more often than as an app. That raises its own questions.

Sharing a tab is the usual choice

When asked to show code or a task, people in Meet typically share a tab. Only that tab's contents enter the stream: the copilot is a separate application and can't appear there by definition.

No Chrome extension involved

JobPath has an extension for job applications, but it has nothing to do with call hints. The copilot doesn't hook into the browser and never sees tab contents.

Tab audio and system audio are different things

Meet can share a tab's audio while presenting. That doesn't affect the copilot: it listens to the device's system audio rather than a tab, and keeps transcribing the interviewer.

Guest links and multiple Chrome profiles

Whether you joined by link without an account or switch between work and personal profiles, the copilot doesn't care: it isn't tied to a Google account and doesn't look at Meet's session.

Works with every video-call client

JobPath is a standalone window that doesn't depend on the call platform. Tested with 16+ popular clients, works with any windowed video call.
